colour talks conference
While at Massey University, I created and designed content for a hypothetical design conference. The event itself was based on the visual language of colour theory and its importance in modern art and design practices. I named the event ‘Colour Talks’, to reinforce the importance of colour in modern, digital communications.
Colour does talk. It grabs us and sparks our emotions. As a start, I took photographs that illustrated vibrant colour usage and linked them together by editing them to be even more vibrant. I built on this with an image of a mouth, to add extra emphasis to the conference’s theme of communication. I also used images of hands, linking to the idea that ‘colour grabs us’ and an eye to show that we absorb colours visually.
